onIn response to parents and students needing to shift into distance learning, we quickly pivoted into creating video content that could easily be available online. Along with our videos, we have included free printable activities and lessons to round-out our curriculum that are both engaging and grade-level appropriate.
We began by developing content that would cover core subject areas such as math, science, language arts, physical fitness, health and safety. We have also created videos covering good mental health practices as well as good hygiene and habits, gardening, and more!
Shortly into the second month of developing video content and printable lessons for parents, teachers, and students, we realized that some students were being left out. This prompted a mission to make our content accessible to students and families of all abilities. We began hiring ASL interpreters to accompany the videos, we increased audio cues, and we hired an expert in teaching the blind to develop printable Braille worksheets so that we could quickly support students who are deaf, visually impaired, blind and deafblind.
None of this would be possible without donors to support our mission to reach as many children as we can. We do not charge schools or parents for any of this content in an effort to make it as equitable and accessible as possible. If you’d like to donate to help us continue to reach more and more students while continuing to assist parents, students, and teachers alike, please contact us.
