Captain Encouragement
Things could have easily gone differently for Nicholas Domingo.
Now the Co-Executive Director of Call to Inspire, and the creator of lifeskills and anti-bullying superhero, Captain Encouragement, Domingo could have easily followed a different path.
“I was introduced to bullying very young,” said Domingo.
Bullied for his weight as young as five or six years old, he was angry.
“I gravitated toward what a lot of people do, which is an eye for an eye, the mindset of retaliation and hurting people,” he said.
As he grew older, Domingo got into weight lifting and contact sports like football and cage fighting.
“I found myself becoming like a violent human,” he said. “I had all this aggression, all this rage, all this anger…”
But then, the pivotal moment happened.
